CLEVELAND BROWNS HOME OPENER!

Join the Lakewood City Schools Community Recreation and Education Department in a Lakewood Community day at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Watch the home opener of our Cleveland Browns as they tangle with the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, September 19th at 1:00p.m. A limited number of seats are available for purchase at the Recreation Department, so get your tickets early. Don't worry about parking, traffic or a pregame meal we have that covered. Seats are only $55.00 each which includes: ticket, a pregame meal at the Ranger Café and a bus ride to and from the game!

2010 Emerald Necklace Banquet

On Wednesday, August 18th the 2010 Emerald Necklace Fastpitch Banquet was held to commemorate all the participants in the most successful fastpitch season on record for the Lakewood Recreation Department. Varsity Head Coach Tedd Bruening emceed the event with over 100 participants and family in attendance.The event was held at the LHS West Cafeteria and each participant was asked to contribute to the pot-luck style banquet. Certificates were handed out by coaches and each coach recapped their season, sharing the teams growing pains and ultimate success throughout the year.A big thank you to all the participants, their families and the coaches for a great season.It was also announced for the upcoming 2011 season, the tryouts dates for everyone to attend. A flyer has been posted in all the schools, emails have been sent out and the website is constantly being updated. See flyer for details.
